The Things Kids Say #4

So I know I havent been keepiong up with this on a weekly basis but I have been busy lately.  I am constantly telling myself I need to post and it always seems to be put on the back burner.  As usual my kids at work are filled with amazing things to say, and I know I am only posting a small portion of those things.  If I could I would just record my day because the conversations that take place in a preschool are priceless! Here are a few laughs they have given me over the last few weeks:

While in the bathroom a little boy is going potty.
A little girl who is washing her hands laughs and says "He has a tail".
The boy quite offended exclaims "No I don't!"
My co teacher explains it is not a tail, it is in fact called a penis.  Boys have them, girls don't.
The little girl once again shakes her head, laughs, and says "He has a tail"
Little boy...still quite offended.

As one of my children was sitting trying to go potty, he squeezes his thigh and says "Nice legs!"

During free play one of my girls says "I told my grandma that Lady Gaga does tricks!"

Most days that I wear accessories (necklaces, earrings, hair clips) I get tons of compliments on them.  One of my little girls was especially fond of a necklace I wore, saying "Oh Ms. Angela!!! I like your necklace, it's way cool!"

Me: My back hurts
Boy 1: Where at?
Me: Right here
Boy 1: Oh I'll rub it for you
Boy 2: Can I rub your back too?
Boy 1: No! Just me!

We did an activity a little while ago where asked the children if they could make an invitation to their own party what would it say.  We got tons of funny responses and this is just one of them:
"My party gonna be a happy birthday. On my happy birthday. It's on Sunday at nap time. It's gonna be mom's happy birthday. It's gonna have fruit inside my happy birthday. Bring something special to my party. I wanna wear my hat at my party. Be my happy birthday"

lol I hope this brightened your day like they brighten mine :)

How to Make Juice

So today during lunch my co-teacher asked the children how they thought juice was made.  Oh how I loved the responses, here are some of my favorite...

"They make it in a cave and then the money just floats away."

"Yeah! APPLE JUICE, YEAH!"

In reference to making orange juice "We don't squeeze 'em with our toes!"

But I need to find this juice cave so I can stand by the river and grab all the money that is floating away!

♥ Only where children gather is there any real chance of fun. ♥

I'm a Hoot

So I received this Valentine from one of my kids at work, and it is just so cute I had to share.  Her mom is super crafty and I love it!

Snow Day!

So Thursday evening I was sitting in a training for work when it began snowing.  This snow storm had been in the news and they predicted it would be a big one.  The preschool I work at follows whatever Denver Public Schools does in regards to closing for snow.  DPS is known for never closing due to snow though.  So needless to say I was not expecting it when around 8 or 8:30pm DPS (along with pretty much every school district around the Denver metro area) announced they would be closed on Friday due to severe weather conditions!  I was excited to say the least, it took me back to high school and being excited when we got a snow day.  And the best part about it was they announced the night before, so no waking up early just to find out it's closed.  Now don't me wrong, I absolutely love my kids at work but driving in awful road conditions is no fun and being snuggled up inside on days like that is far better,

Well just as the predicted it turned out to be quite a snow!  It snowed from Thursday evening all the way through Saturday morning!  I didn't even really look outside much Friday cause I knew my best bet was staying in all day.  But this is what I woke up to this morning (looking out the back door)...

Finally it stopped snowing late morning, and I knew I had some errands I needed to get done.  So the realization that I needed to go out and tackle shoveling the drive way hit me.  Lets just say, at one point I felt like dying.  There was sooo much snow, and it was soo heavy!  And I swear, the driveway is too long.  I did it though, and I got my errands done without getting stuck once!

All the shoveling and running errands made me pretty hungry.  Well that and the three cups of coffee and no food factor from this morning began to kick in :)  So I decided to make a home made, 3-cheese margherita pizza.  And I have to admit, it turned out delicious!  I plan to spend the rest of the day relaxing and watching some movies.
